Teenager's body found in River Ivel in Bedfordshire
The body of a 15-year-old boy who went missing while swimming in a river has been recovered, police said.
Emergency services recovered the body from the River Ivel near to Mill Lane in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, this morning.
Bedfordshire Police believe the body is that of a 15-year-old boy who went missing while swimming in the river yesterday evening.
A full search was launched last night after officers received a call from a member of the public at 7.45pm.
A force spokesperson said the identity of the deceased will not be confirmed until a formal identification has taken place and the coroner has opened an inquest.
The family of the missing boy has been informed and is receiving support from police at this time, the spokesperson added.
