Trespasser causes Waterloo rail chaos

Tens of thousands of commuters suffered travel delays today after a trespasser walked on to one of the busiest railway lines in the country.

Services into and out of London's Waterloo station were cancelled or delayed by up to an hour because of the incident at nearby Vauxhall station.

Commuters were told that the power was turned off after the trespasser got on to the line at the start of the morning rush- hour.

South West Trains said its services would be disrupted for hours.
