The Queen celebrated her official birthday yesterday with the Trooping the Colour parade. The Colour being paraded was the flag of the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards who returned from Afghanistan six weeks ago.

Prime Minister David Cameron was among the guests, accompanied by his wife Samantha. The Duke of Edinburgh arrived with the Queen in Queen Victoria's 1842 ivory-mounted carriage. The Prince of Wales, who is Colonel of the Welsh Guards, also took part despite suffering from a chest infection.
