Eye witnesses have captured the aftermath of the speedboat crash in Padstow that claimed the lives of advertising executive Nick Milligan and his eight-year-old daughter Emily.

In the amateur footage waterskiing instructor, Charlie Toogood is seen boarding the empty speedboat as it circles through the water before switching off the engine.

Mr Toogood jumped onboard the unmanned vessel from another boat and brought it under control in order to prevent others from being injured.

Mr Milligan and his daughter died after their boat went “out of control” off the coast of Padstow in Cornwall on Sunday.

Four members of the family were also injured when they were all thrown overboard and struck by the boat as it continued to circle despite not having a driver.
