The British winner of Europe's biggest lottery jackpot has come forward to claim Tuesday's £161m EuroMillions prize.

The lottery operator, Camelot, would not reveal whether the winner was an individual or a syndicate. If the ticket is held by a single person, the prize will put them among Britain's richest people, in 430th place in the Sunday Times Rich List, just ahead of Ringo Starr and just behind David and Victoria Beckham.
