Mark Newall, an investment banker, was yesterday arrested by Paris police accused, with his brother, Roderick, of the murder of their parents in Jersey more than five years ago. Roderick, 27, a former Royal Green Jackets lieutenant, has been in jail in Gibraltar fighting extradition to Jersey, since he was arrested last August.

Mark, 26, who works for an Arab bank in Paris, will also face extradition proceedings. Nicholas Newall, 57, a Lloyd's underwriter, and his wife Elizabeth, 48, disappeared from their Jersey home in October 1987. Their bodies have never been found.
