Joyrider convicted over death

A joyrider was convicted of aiding and abetting manslaughter after the driver he was racing at 80mph struck and killed a cyclist in Iver, Buckinghamshire. Simon Deacon, 19, of Hayes, west London, denied the charge. Sentencing was adjourned at Reading Crown Court until today.

Andrew Tremeth, 17, of Iver, and Deacon admitted taking a car without consent. Tremeth admitted the unlawful killing of Michael Robbins, 53. Deacon admitted reckless driving.
