Junior doctors react with disgust, fury and sadness over Jeremy Hunt's decision to impose new contract
'Just received texts from both my parents telling me not to worry about disappointing them if I decide to leave medicine'
Junior doctors have reacted with fury, defiance and sadness following Jeremy Hunt's announcement that a new contract will be unilaterally imposed on them without agreement or further negotiation.
Anger is mounting with many in the medical profession, as well as members of the public and politicians, over the Health Secretary's decision, which he said would end “uncertainty” in the health service.
Doctors have expressed their disgust at Mr Hunt's move on Twitter - with some warning they will fight on, and others indicating they are already looking at options to practise medicine abroad.
