Kubrick film clips blocked
LEGAL action prevented Channel 4 from last night screening excerpts from Stanley Kubrick's film, A Clockwork Orange, as part of its Without Walls arts series, writes Rhys Williams.
Mr Justice Harman had earlier granted a temporary injunction, ruling that 12 clips, which made up nearly half of the 26-minute broadcast would constitute a breach of the copyright held by Warner Bros.
The hearing into the station's appeal was adjourned last night as the programme was due on air. A final ruling is expected in a fortnight.
