Law Update: Shrinking firms

THE country's largest law firm, Clifford Chance, has shed six assistant solicitors from its property department. Nearly 30 administrative and secretarial staff have also lost their jobs. In Liverpool, Bermans announced redundancies for three solicitors and 15 support staff.
