'Loyalist gunman' shot by soldier
A man believed to be a loyalist gunman was shot by a soldier in Belfast after a gun attack on a Sinn Fein office in the New Lodge area. Two other men were arrested. No one was hurt in the office.
A man has been charged with five murders in Co Armagh and Co Tyrone during the past 12 months. He has also been charged with attempted murder and membership of the Ulster Volunteer Force.
