Minister disqualified for speeding

Robert Atkins, the Northern Ireland minister responsible for road safety in the province, was disqualified from driving for three weeks and fined 800 pounds for driving at 71mph in a 30mph zone near Lancaster on 4 December. He apologised to magistrates, saying he had been late for an appointment.
