Mother convicted
A jury at Winchester Crown Court convicted Charmaine Strudwick, 21, of Portsmouth, Hampshire, of the manslaughter of her five-week-old baby, Jordan, in hospital by feeding him lethal drugs. She was cleared on an alternative charge of infanticide, after a 13-day trial, and was remanded on conditional bail while psychiatric reports are prepared.
