Motorist shot in face with arrow
A MOTORIST was recovering yesterday after a steel-tipped arrow fired from a bow stuck in his face as he drove out of a housing estate in Ashington, Northumberland.
William Purvis, 22, escaped serious injury on Monday night when the 2ft arrow smashed through his side window and embedded itself in his left cheek. He was treated at Wansbeck General Hospital for the wound after removing the missile himself.
