No prosecution after shooting
Police marksmen who shot dead a farmer who had terrorised a village and shot and killed a police dog, will not be prosecuted, the Crown Prosecution Service said. Ian Fitzgerald-Hay, 40, was shot in the head at his home, Crabadon Manor, Moreleigh, Devon, last October.
Dressed in camouflage clothing and a bullet-proof vest, he had threatened a local woman and fired shots in his local pub. Police later traced him to his home where he was shot after making threats.
