Colin and Wendy Parry, the parents of Tim Parry who was killed by an IRA bomb in Warrington, Cheshire, last March, have abandoned a plan to set up an youth centre in the town because of a hate-mail campaign. The mainly anonymous letters questioned the need for another memorial and demanded to know where proceeds from their book, Tim: An Ordinary Boy, would go - a subject the Parrys say is personal.
