A competition to find the clearest news reporting was launched by the Plain English Campaign. Four awards will be made to the most easily understood national and regional newspapers and television programmes. Last year's winners included the Independent. Nominations can be made to the campaign at Outram House, Canal Street, Whaley Bridge, Stockport SK12 7LS.
