The football player David Speedie was cleared yesterday of attacking a fan. Speedie, 32, was accused of kicking Craig Jones after a Blackburn Rovers V Derby game in Derby last May. The judge at Nottingham Crown Court said: 'The complainant spat at this man which was a disgusting thing to do and was then surprised when he was kicked.'
