Police hunting for British father-of-one who went missing during Prague stag weekend

A search is underway for a British man who is still missing after a pub crawl in Prague three weeks ago.

Karl Law is said by Czech police to have been sighted twice since his disappearance on Saturday 15 November, in which he got separated from his friends during a stag celebration.

The 35-year-old builder from Fareham, Hampshire, has not contacted any friends or family so far and some have been flying to the city to display posters appealing for information.

His brother Craig Law told Sky News: “No news is good news, so we are thinking positively. We don't want to think of the worst and believe that Karl is alive and out there somewhere.

“Some of us will stay here for as long as it takes to get the answer to what has happened to Karl, good or bad.”

Karl's cousin Steve Stock was the last person to see him next to Maxim's bar in the busy centre of Prague's old town at around 11.30pm. He did not have his mobile phone or passport with him at the time of his disappearance.

It is believed that Karl could be sleeping rough and friends and family have checked with numerous homeless shelters. He is reported to have been sighted inside a café and getting off the number 14 tram the day after the pub crawl.

Craig added: “It could be he has had an accident or banged his head somewhere and got disorientated. He could be confused and be sleeping rough.”

Prague police said they were doing all they could to find the father-of-one. His fiancée Amanda Collins said she is “very positive” that he will be found, having told their three-year-old son that he went on an extensive fishing trip.

Police spokesman Tomas Hulan claims that Karl had “consumed both alcohol and narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances extensively during the few days before he disappeared.”

The narcotics allegation is disputed by his fiancée who says that “he wouldn’t have dabbled in drugs,” as reported by The News in Portsmouth.
