Lords criticise EU aid
AN OVERHAUL of European Union policy to boost trade among the world's poorest countries is called for today by the Lords' European Communities committee, writes Patricia Wynn Davies.
It says in a report that trying to helping developing countries by allowing tariff-free exports to the EU is failing to help the poorest. It calls for 'technical assistance and aid to the export regimes of developing countries'.
