Parliament is to be recalled for one day on Thursday of next week to discuss the war against terrorism, Downing Street said today.

The House of Commons will sit after the curtailed Labour Party conference, with a statement from the Prime Minister followed by MPs' questions.

Meanwhile the US announced that the operation name had been changed to 'Enduring Freedom'. They have dropped the name 'Infinite Justice' after objections from some Islamic scholars on grounds that only Allah could hand out infinite justice.
