DENTISTS' FEES: An increase in fees averaging 2.9 per cent from 1 January was disclosed by Brian Mawhinney, the health minister. This will not break the pay freeze on the public sector, but will ensure that dentists receive about 1.5 per cent extra, which was previously agreed, after higher costs.
