BUGGING: MI5 and GCHQ were absolved by John Major of any part in the tapping of telephone calls by the Prince and Princess of Wales. Reaffirming a statement last week by Peter Brooke, Secretary of State for National Heritage, he said: 'There is no substance to rumours about the involvement of the security and intelligence agencies in the interception of the communications.'
