Prison dispute
Prison officers have postponed industrial action - due to begin last night - against privatisation, overcrowding and safety at work. Leaders of the Prison Officers' Association are to meet Prison Department officials today to discuss the dispute but, from 22 November, officers still plan to lock out inmates delivered to jails by police or Group 4 escorts.
