Eleven-year-old Lee Crotty's family had to pay an extra pounds 780 to change the date of their summer holiday flight to Malta - because he did not want to miss the last day of lessons and spoil his 100 per cent attendance record at St Vincent's School in Nechells, Birmingham. The head boy has not missed a day of classes since he started in the nursery section at the age of three.
