Shop blackmailer

A man who tried to blackmail a supermarket chain was jailed for five years at the Old Bailey. Alan Jones, 40, who claimed he was cheated of pounds 200,000, demanded pounds 400,000 from Safeway and threatened to contaminate poultry in shops between May and December last year.
