Shop workers sue
Four shop assistants are suing a council for the right to work on Sundays. The women, who are employed at the B & Q store in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, are claiming compensation in the High Court today for earnings lost in 1991 when Kirklees council clamped down on Sunday trading.
