Singer link in Joanna case

DETECTIVES investigating the alleged abduction of aerobics teacher Joanna Grenside revealed yesterday that they were investigating similarities with a fake kidnapping case in Australia.

Joanna, 25, disappeared from a car park near her home in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, last week and turned up in a distressed state 36 hours later, saying she had been abducted by two men. Since her reappearance four days ago police have been unable to obtain much detail from her.

They said yesterday they had postponed questioning her for medical reasons and were unlikely to resume until the middle of the week. They are examining the case of Australian singer Fairlie Arrow, who went missing for two days a year ago.
