Slip-up payout
DAVID HORAY, 24, serving three years at Walton prison, Liverpool, for burglary and aggravated vehicle taking, successfully sued the Home Office at the county court after suffering face injuries in a football game. After slipping on an Astroturf pitch and colliding with a lighting pole he claimed he should have had special boots, not plimsolls, and the pole should have been padded. Damages will be assessed after his release.
