Son finds father's body on rail line

A train driver sent to investigate reports of a body on a railway line in Darlington, Co Durham, discovered it was his father, it was revealed yesterday. Former rail worker Frank Brawn, 64, is believed to have been hit by an express travelling at more than 100mph.

The body was spotted on Monday morning and Robert Brawn, who was in the cab of the Saltburn to Newcastle train, was asked to investigate.
