Supermarkets have failed to pass on the benefits of their 'huge profits' to customers, Nigel Griffiths, Labour's consumer affairs spokesman, said. He has passed a dossier which he describes as a 'damning indictment' to the Office of Fair Trading. Mr Griffiths said profits had risen by up to 422 per cent over 10 years while farm incomes had fallen 35 per cent in real terms.
