Britain's first 'supertram' system, the Metrolink in Greater Manchester, is to double the frequency of its services. More than three million people have used the pounds 130m system, which opened six months ago. Trams will run every six minutes instead of every 12, and will also run on Sundays. There are plans to extend it to Oldham and Rochdale.
