Piers Morgan, 28, is to be acting editor of the News of the World, Britain's largest selling newspaper at 4.61 million copies. He replaces Stuart Higgins, who becomes editor of the Sun; NoW's editor, Patsy Chapman, is on sick leave. Mr Morgan, editor of a column in the Sun, will be the youngest national newspaper editor for 50 years.
