The Church of England's General Synod: Attack on food bill
A vicar's wife attacked churchmen and women for making 'pigs' of themselves on costly meals at the Synod.
Janet Vout has put down a private member's motion saying: 'This Synod regrets the over abundant provision of food at the July group session and requests that at future sessions, a more modest menu be offered.'
She claimed the food bill, which came to thousands, was partly paid by churchgoers.
