Berthe Morisot

Poet, editor, performer and wandering scholar, Anne Waldman teaches at The Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado, where she co-founded the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics with Allen Ginsberg. Her previous collections include Helping the Dreamer, Iovis (Coffee House Press). This poem originally appeared in Skin Meat BONES (1985, Coffee House Press) and now appears in Postmodern American Poetry edited by Paul Hoover (W W Norton, pounds 14.95).
