Beach hut number 23 was the work of two art students, Flo and Alice Ray based on the carol Christians Awake! Salute the Happy Morn and featured a variety of presents wrapped in silver and arranged in a cross formation in the centre of the hut (268). The coloured lights attached to the cross appeared random at first but on closer inspection were cleverly arranged to represent the face of Christ. The last hut opens tonight, an installation from artist and musician Jimmy Cauty.
