Hut 128 was the third to feature in this year's calendar. It was run by All Saints Church Hove who chose O Come, O Come Emmanuel as their carol theme (and there was singing for the first time this year, to the accompaniment of the ukelele). The display featured a dark icon with plenty of bright colours and Christmas lights in and around the hut. There are already plenty of regulars meeting at the huts each night, some turning up after reading about the event online. Friday's hut will be number 177 which will include an open air silent disco.

Doors open for 'living' beach hut advent calendar

A very special version of the traditional calendar is on display along Hove seafront throughout December. Alex Johnson take a peek inside and will follow its progress on this page for the rest of the month.
