Tram plan
PLANS for a pounds 250m light rail system in Glasgow have been unveiled, more than 30 years after the last trams were replaced by buses. The new rapid transit network, StrathClyde Tram, similar to the Sheffield system opened earlier this year, could be operational by 2000.
