Tube strike map April 2014: Which lines will be closed? And when will it go on until?

The 48-hour tube strike is underway and is due to go on until 9pm on Wednesday.

Today and tomorrow trains that are able to operate are anticipated to do so between 7am and 11pm, although TFL says that some trains may depart central London “significantly earlier” than the planned 11pm closure at around 9.30pm.

There are provisional plans to run “as many tube services as possible”, but TFL has warned that some stations will be closed and that the “situation may change throughout the day”.

TFL has produced a document of travel advice to customers and said it plans to run for extra bus and river services. But those services are expected to be very busy, and TFL is advising commuters to leave plenty of extra time to finish their journeys.

If the dispute is not resolved, members of the Rail, Marine and Transport Union (RMT) say they will stage another walkout - this time for 72 hours - from 9pm on Monday 5 May.

These are the services that are expected to run:

Bakerloo line

TFL hopes to run trains between Queen’s Park and Elephant and Castle around every six minutes in both directions. Customers are advised to check at the time of their journey as this service may not be able to run all day.

These trains would not stop at Edgware Road, Embankment, Kilburn Park, Lambeth North, Maida Vale, Piccadilly Circus or Regent’s Park stations. It is possible that some other stations may also need to close at times.

Central line

No service will operate through the central area.

TFL intends to run trains between Epping/Hainault and Leytonstone around every ten minutes in both directions. This service may be extended to Holborn.

It also intends to run trains between West Ruislip and White City around every 10 - 15 minutes in both directions. This service may be extended to Ealing Broadway.
