A floral carpet made in Turkey to the 17th-century 'Lahore' design dating from the reign of the Mogul emperor Jahangir, being installed in the Great Room at Spencer House in St James's, central London. The private palace, built in 1756-66 for the first Earl Spencer and extensively restored recently, is open to the public on Sundays.
