Two held over boy's fire death
Two people were arrested in connection with a fire last Sunday in which a boy, five, died trying to rescue his dog. Investigators said that the fire in Basildon, Essex, was started deliberately and police were treating the death of Sean Hogg as murder.
Sean's father, Peter Hogg, had led his wife, Caroline, and their three children - Sean, his twin Aaron, and Kimberley, three - to safety, but Sean crawled back into the house through a cat-flap. Essex police said they were questioning a man, 26, and a woman, 35.
