Unfair dismissal

Geoff Perfitt, assistant editor of the Slough Observer who was sacked after his editor accused him of stealing a pounds 1 coin from her handbag, was unfairly dismissed, an industrial tribunal ruled. He said he had dropped his coin on top of the handbag. Compensation has to be agreed.
