Welsh miners lobby Heseltine after 280-mile 'walk for jobs' to defend closure-threatened colliery
Miners protesting over the threatened Tower Colliery, the last British Coal pit in south Wales, at the Department of Trade and Industry in London yesterday. Eight men walked 280 miles from the Mid Glamorgan colliery, employing 400 men, to present a letter arguing their case to Michael Heseltine, President of the Board of Trade.
