Wife poured hot wax on man's penis

A WOMAN poured boiling wax over her husband's penis as he slept naked in bed, a court was told yesterday.

Diane Sladek, 49, of Marske-by-the-Sea, Cleveland, was sent a parcel which contained her husband's boxer shorts and a letter claiming he had been having an affair. Teesside Crown Court was told that at 2am the next day she melted five candles in a pan then poured it on to him. She then clubbed him with the pan.

Michael Sladek, 45, suffered 13 per cent deep burns and needed skin grafts. His wife, 49, admitted causing grievious bodily harm. Sentence was adjourned for social reports.
