Woman dies in bacteria outbreak

AN ELDERLY woman has died and 15 other residents and staff are ill after a salmonella outbreak at a nursing home in York.

Admissions to the home have been halted and visiting restrictions imposed while health officials try to identify the source of the bacterial infection.
