A DENTAL patient used super-strong glue to put two crowns back into her mouth and hid in her hotel for a week when her DIY attempts went wrong, a dentists' disciplinary hearing was told yesterday.

Patricia McStravick, of Park End, Middlesbrough, resorted to using the glue after a pounds 130 crowning treatment completed by Lawrence Korenteng fell out just before her brother's wedding in New York, the Dental Council's professional conduct committee in London heard.

Mr Korenteng denies gross misconduct at his two surgeries in Waterloo Road, Middlesbrough and Victoria Road, Hartlepool in April 1992. The hearing was adjourned until today.
