US bombing backfires
The American bombing of Mogadishu looks increasingly like an act of petulant revenge and is likely to turn the UN peace- keeping force into an army of occupation and set off a spiral of revenge. Peace-keeping will require long-term commitment and soldiers in blue helmets prepared to die in a cause they have no part in.
