Foul ball baseball kid Austin Chaney talks through his smooth move
Boy puts Drake's basketball lint rolling to shame
Ten-year-old Austin Chaney quite literally single-handedly put all filmic depictions of suave men to shame this week when he nonchalantly tossed a young lady behind him a foul ball at a baseball game while pocketing another for himself. Now he has spoken.
Austin stunned eagle-eyed commentators who picked up on his 'switcheroo', which has brought him a lot of attention in the playground.
He told WFAA-TV in Dallas-Fort Worth he specifically chose a spot near the field so that the third base coach would toss balls in his direction.
"I was told if I got another ball, I should give it to someone else," he said. "So I turned around. ... I thought I was going to give it to someone deep down there, and I saw her right in front of me and I gave it to her."
His own Sunday league baseball team were quick to pick up on it.
"The whole team was messing with me, like 'What's up, Hollywood?'" he added.
Austin's mum was quick to shoot down his reputation as being smooth with the ladies however, chiming in: "If they only knew him. He trips over the wind blowing!"
