This is one for fans of Super Mario.

A man appears to be playing the computer game for real after footage was captured of him running through a pane of glass and emerging seemingly unscathed on the other side.

In the extraordinary video, which only lasts several seconds, the man is seen running at and shattering the window before quickly getting up and dashing away.

As he runs off, a green 1-Up Mushroom from Super Mario appears above his head to represent an “extra life”, which is lucky for the man considering other people have not been so fortunate when running through glass.

The 1-Up Mushroom is typically hidden in a risky place, so smashing glass seems like an apt place to find one.

Mario usually hits bricks and tackles walls and the glass seems to be a new take on the game.

While the footage is unverified, from the date stamp it appears to be from last week at around 7pm.

So, whether this video is a hoax or actually shows a man using his body to smash through a wall of glass, it’s still pretty darn impressive.
