KARACHI - Pakistani security forces arrested more than 150 people yesterday for allegedly trying to rig provincial assembly polls, whose results may prove crucial for Benazir Bhutto's attempt to form a central government. It was the first incident of rigging in Wednesday's elections for the National Assembly and yesterday's polls for the four provincial parliaments. Police said those arrested had been trying to rig ballots for a seat in Karachi, and had intimidated voters. Officials declined to identify the political affiliation of those held. Reuter
